Zoe Schlossnagle, a graduate student from the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences in Arts & Sciences, and others were interviewed by NOVA producer Caitlin Saks in a livestream from the Taku Glacier in Alaska.

Schlossnagle is currently in the field conducting research for Assistant Professor Dougal Hansen's glaciology group. She answered questions about icequakes, hidden flow patterns, and how their team is using seismometers on this glacier to collect data. This data helps researchers learn more about how glaciers behave which can lead to better predictions around global sea level rise.

The livestream took place on Thursday, June 11th, 2026 and is available by following this link to the Youtube video.
